About Lorton Valley
 
 

Lorton Valley, a managed community; under the rules and regulations of a Homeowners Association, currrently consists of 502 single family and town home units. We are located 16 miles south of Washington D.C. in Lorton, Virginia, southeastern Fairfax County, just off I-95 via the Lorton Exits (163) then West on Lorton Road for approximately ¼ mile. Our main entrance is to the South of Lorton Road at (Windermere Hill Rd.).
 
Currently the Lorton Valley Community consists of three individual (3) sub-divisions bordered by older established single family homes known locally as “Shirley Acres”, and Sanger Apartments. Lorton Valley Homeowners Association 
 
Lorton Valley is managed by the Lorton Valley HOA Board of Directors (owners/members of the Lorton Valley Community) with the assistance of our current property management Company, FirstService Residential. The Lorton Valley HOA Board of Directors is comprised of a President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.  Each position is an elected three (3) year staggered term.
 
Lorton Valley Community Amenities
 
Lorton Valley has a Community Center (9380 Windermere Hill Drive) with a  Party Room available to rent for events, a fully equipped fitness center, pool, sport court, and several playground areas.  We also have community connectivity to the Laurel Hill Shared Use Trail System (Apple Orchard or Red Trail) with access to 10 miles of trails for use by walkers, runners, trail bikers, and equestrians.
 
Commuter Train Station
 
Just down the street, in Lorton Station, is a Virginia Railway Express (VRE) commuter train station. for more information, including train schedules.  Lorton Valley is also a short distance from the Franconia/Springfield Metro Station and Amtrak Auto Train.
 
Lorton Town Center
 
Lorton Valley is within a few minutes of Lorton Marketplace and Lorton Town Center. Retail tenants include coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store, bank, pharmacy, gas station, fast food site and a variety of community-serving retailers.
 
Amenities and Services
 
Fairfax County is home to some of the best schools, finest restaurants, and largest variety of shopping and entertainment in Virginia. It offers more than 30,000 acres of parkland, eight recreation centers, five nature centers, equestrian trails and several public golf courses. For boating and fishing enthusiasts, there are also several nearby marinas, including Occoquan and Alexandria with access to the Potomac River.

Shopping
 
Excellent shopping opportunities abound within just a few minutes from Lorton Valley; including Springfield Town Center, located just 10 minutes away with abundant retail and specialty stores, restaurants and theaters. Fifteen minutes to the south is Potomac Mills, part of the national Mills chain with hundreds of retails stores. The Fashion Center at Pentagon City, accessible via VRE, is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's. In addition, the quaint shops and charming boutiques of Old Town Alexandria and Occoquan are just minutes away.
